The predecessor of Lightning Division of JOZZON is "Lightning Detection Laboratory" of National Space Science Center,CAS(NSSC). Since the 1980s, it has been engaged in the research work of lightning detection and warning technology which have been widely used in Meteorological, electric power, forestry, aerospace and other systems. The ADTD-type lightning detector developed by the company has obtained the use of meteorological equipment in China. It has been recognized by the Central Meteorological Observatory and other authoritative departments. It plays an important role in the development of lightning warning technology and lightning protection and disaster reduction. The ADTD-2C VLF/LF three-dimensional lightning detection system jointly developed with the China Meteorological Administration and other units is a full lightning detection system based on low-frequency signal with independent intellectual property rights. At present, more than 200 stations have been deployed in China for three-dimensional lightning detection network.
